About City
Attractions
Rome is overflowing with churches, museums and art and encompasses so many stunning historical sites that it can be difficult to decide what to see. The Coliseum, Pantheon, Sistine Chapel and Roman Forum are at the top of nearly any tourist’s list. To truly experience what Rome has to offer, you should dig a little deeper. For more of Rome’s sculptures and artwork, visit the Capitoline Museums, the Palazzo Doria Pamphilj and the Galleriia Borghese. Take in Bernini’s Fountain of the Four Rivers in Piazza Navona or his Fountain of Triton in Piazza Barberini.
Accommodations
Accommodations in Rome range from luxury five-star hotels to budget rooms that may or may not offer a private bath. For budget accommodations that still offer a range of amenities, try bed and breakfasts which tend to be more comfortable with a homier feel. It’s important to consider location when booking your hotel. Hotels located in the heart of the city will provide easy access to a variety of activities but also tend to be in noisier areas. For a quiet, relaxing stay, you may need to select a hotel further from the city, and use a cab to get into the heart of Rome.
