Dr. Rohrbaugh has been active in developing clinical programs that integrate medical student and residency education. He has been especially interested in teaching beginning clinicians how to listen to a patient's narrative, identify pertinent data, and use that data to develop a bio-psycho-social formulation and treatment plan. Dr. Rohrbaugh developed the VA-CT Psychiatry Primary Care Clinic and Geropsychiatry service and served as Clinical Director of VA-CT Mental Health Service Line. He served as the Clerkship Director and Director of Medical Studies for medical student education and as Associate Program Director before leaving the VA to assume the Program Director role in 2008. In 2009, Dr. Rohrbaugh was named Deputy Chair for Education and Career Development in the Department of Psychiatry. In his residency program director role, Dr. Rohrbaugh facilitated the development of a social justice and health equity track within the residency to equip psychiatrists to address health disparities as part of their clinical mission.

Dr. Rohrbaugh has worked with colleagues at Xiangya School of Medicine in Changsha, Hunan Province, PRC to develop a competency based model for post-graduate (residency) education. This model has heavily influenced the Chinese national model for residency training. He was the Founding Director of the Yale School of Medicine's Office of International Medical Student Education in 2008 and was named Associate Dean for Global Health Education. In 2015, having noted the irony that global health education is largely discussed by educators in high income countries, Dr. Rohrbaugh co-founded the Bellagio Global Health Education Initiative with an explicit goal of bringing global health education leaders from high, middle and low income countries together to improve global health education.

In 2021 Dr. Rohrbaugh because Deputy Dean for Professionalism and Leadership at Yale School of Mfleaders at the School, and elevates wellbeing.

I am trained in adult psychiatry. My approach assumes that there are multiple intersecting ways to understand people, including (but not limited to) biological, developmental, situational, and spiritual. These have a blending, and dynamic, influence on our experience and sense of meaning. My aim in working with students is to consider this plurality in order to understand the origin of one’s distress and to develop a path forward. In another universe, I would probably be either the shortstop for the New York Yankees or a behavioral economist. Since I lack the aptitude to do either, I will keep trying my best as a physician.

Adult psychiatry

Professor Killaspy is a clinical academic working in the field of rehabilitation psychiatry. Her research has provided crucial evidence for the effectiveness of specialist services for people with complex mental health needs. She has played a key role in ensuring this evidence is included in policy to support ongoing investment in mental health rehabilitation services in the UK and abroad. She was the Topic Adviser for the first NICE (National Institute for Health and Care) Clinical Guideline on Mental Health Rehabilitation Services(CG 181, NICE, 2020) that provides evidence based recommendations for commissioners to invest in local rehabilitation services, and for service providers about the specific treatments, interventions and support that they should provide to people with complex psychosis.

Sam Vaknin is the author of Malignant Self-love: Narcissism Revisited as well as many other books and ebooks about topics in psychology, relationships, philosophy, economics, international affairs, and award-winning short fiction. He is Visiting Professor of Psychology, Southern Federal University, Rostov-on-Don, Russia and Professor of Finance and Psychology in CIAPS (Centre for International Advanced and Professional Studies). He was the Editor-in-Chief of Global Politician and served as a columnist for Central Europe Review, PopMatters, eBookWeb , and Bellaonline, and as a United Press International (UPI) Senior Business Correspondent. He was the editor of mental health and Central East Europe categories in The Open Directory and Suite 101. His YouTube channels garnered 20,000,000 views and 85,000 subscribers.

Helen Herrman is Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry at Orygen and the Centre for Youth Mental Health, The University of Melbourne, and Director of the World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centre in Mental Health, Melbourne. She is appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia.

Her research and development interests as psychiatrist and public health physician include promoting mental health, community mental health care, and women’s mental health. Previously she was Professor and Director of Psychiatry in St. Vincent’s Health Melbourne, and for a year acted as regional advisor in mental health for the WHO’s Western Pacific Region.

He was Full Project Scientist in the Departments of Medicine and Pediatrics, University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine, San Diego, California 92103, U.S.A. He has worked as Scientist in different French and U.S. Research Institutions and Companies. He has studied at University Louis Pasteur, Strasbourg, France: B.S. in Biochemistry; M.S. in Molecular Biology; Ph.D. in Macromolecular Physical Chemistry; Ph.D. in Physical Sciences (Doctorat d’Etat es Sciences Physiques). Veerle Bergink is Director of the Womens Mental health Center and tenured Professor at the department of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is internationally recognized as an expert in the treatment of psychiatric disorders during pregnancy and the postpartum period with a specific interest in bipolar disorder. Dr. Bergink established a prospective postpartum psychosis study in 2008, currently the largest first-onset postpartum psychosis and mania cohort in the world. She has defined a highly effective clinical treatment algorithm for treatment of the acute phase and for the prevention of postpartum relapse. Moreover, her research has provided intriguing evidence for an underlying immunological pathophysiology of postpartum depression, mania, and psychosis. She is leading epidemiological studies and clinical cohort studies and she is the principle investigator on multiple research projects including studies on medication use during pregnancy, neuroimaging of new mothers and their offspring, and the longitudinal course of severe perinatal mood disorders. Work from her group has been consistently funded over the 10 years by large grants from the CDC, the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) and the European Union. She has won multiple prestigious prizes and has published extensively in top-tier journals.

Dr. Lidia Martinez earned her Ph.D. from Nova Southeastern University in 2004. Her credentials include Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Qualified Supervisor, and Master Level Addiction Professional (MCAP). She is also an Alcohol and Drug counselor with the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She is also part time core faculty in the online Mental Health Therapy and Addiction Education Programs at The Center for Psychological Studies, Nova Southeastern University. For more than 20 years, she worked to bring a holistic approach to treatment, combining a broad array of evidence-based therapeutic strategies in collaboration with the medical components for wellness. Her specialties include working in the areas of anxiety disorders, parenting challenges, obesity and weight loss, addictions, adjustment issues, and trauma. She enjoys seeing her patients flourish and maintain their goals as they incorporate new insights and strategies learned on their therapeutic journey that help to grow their resilience.
